Just wanted to pop in and let you know that I was just now getting
this exact same problem. Here's what happened with me.
I initially had my account set to Yahoo Mail Classic. I had the
extension set to "New Classic Website". This would result in a
"Connection to localhost timeout" after 2 minutes. Logging showed
Negative Vibes near the end of one of the files. The TB error console
had:
YahooPOPClassic.js: processIDS : Exception : TypeError.
Error message: szEmailURL.match(PatternYahooIDAlt) has no properties

I then switched my webmail on the yahoo server to "All-New Mail" on
the far upper right hand corner, and the layout changed. I then tried
changing the extension to "Production Website" which immediately gave
me the "Negative Vibes" message. The TB error console had:
YahooPOP.js: loginHandler : Exception : Error.
Error message: error logging in

I then switched the extension setting to "BETA Website" and the emails
then came across.
