1. I'm afraid I don't know. In the "Mozilla Thunderbird" folder in 
"Program Files" there is a folder called "geprefs". This contains three 
*.js files any one or none of which may contain the account information.
2.I've composed this in fixed width, but I don't think the change will 
"stick". However, under "Tools", "Options", look under the "Composition" 
tab. select the options you want, then OK out. This should set it.
