Webmail keeps downloading old messages from Hotmail

I am seeing Webmail downloading messages multiple times.
thunderbird 3.0.6
webmail 1.3.8
hotmail 1.2.28

Funny thing is: not all messages are being downloaded but only within
last couple of days.
