Use https://tiddlywiki.com/upgrade to upgrade. Official Tiddlywiki plugins will be upgraded, not other plugins. If you do not have any overwritten core tiddlers, you should be fine. Also take a good look at the list you will see when upgrading, that should give you a hint.
