Peter The upgrade mechanisium for single file wikis only upgrades the file its given and you have to save the update and you can give it a new name rather than save over your original. From past experience it is rare for the upgrade to fail. At most a feature does not work or a minor artifact appears.
The single file wiki is so simple to copy and backup even without automatic backups in most savers.
