It's not that your wiki "runs on" any version, like e.g a text document "runs on" a word processor. No, instead, in single file wiki "your wiki" and the stystem is integrated into a single file. So, it PeterWiki1 is really a totally different file from PeterWiki2. The one has nothing to do with the other. They don't share anything. Like the two files "madonna.jpg" and "britneyspears.jpg".
