I don't disagree this may be a way to get GG to behave better but if we had 
the metadata other solutions use it would be easy for interest groups to 
curate their own group while maintaining visibility to the masses. That is 
their own, links, pins, references, documents, contacts etc... Groups can 
quote relavant other groups and get backlinks.
