With or without the menu bar plugin I expect people are more likely to want 
"their content", the first tiddler open to be the launch point for mobile 
wikis not dropping then user on the "sideBar" where one has to choose from 
a tab, many which are not relevant, to proceed. 

It would seem to me that an option to determine if the sidebar tab  is 
open/closed, on the top or bottom in *mobile mode* specifically is a 
desirable configuration option. If we look at other mobile themes we tend 
to see this implemented typically with a menu bar any way. It seems the 
default mobile mode should be a closed sidebar with a hamburger menu to 
open the side bar, in the window.
