Hi gang, I just found TiddlyWiki today - wow! Ultimately I'd like to do most of the editing of my TW on my home PC (currently running Firefox), but be able to sync the file to the SD card of a smartphone (that I have yet to buy, likely WinMo or Android) in order to be able to view my notes *without* wifi or cell reception.
I understand that it's currently not possible to save locally on any smartphone (right?) so to some extent my questions are mostly about doing the right thing now to spare myself hassle later. If I start with the Firefox version, I can view it in any mobile browser that provides a way to access local files - correct? But, say I did have Opera on Android, and eventually there was a way to save locally. The fact that I started with the Firefox version would bite me at this point, wouldn't it? I guess my specific questions are: - What are the mobile browsers/devices/OSs that currently allow viewing of *local* TW files? - Does anyone have a best guess for which browsers/OSs (if any) will likely allow local saving in the near future? - Is it possible to set up a single TW file to be save-able by multiple browsers? - Since it seems like "Opera" might be the answer to the first question, should I download and install Opera on my PC and use the Opera TW file from the start? Or would it be easy enough to switch browser-specific save routines later that I shouldn't worry about it until one of them actually allows local saves? Thanks a bunch! Can't wait to get started putting my wiki together! -Kate -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
