Kate, If you Go to http://portableapps.com/ you can get firefox and other tools that can be installed on usb flash drive. You can then run the apps on any windows PC without any installation into the computer being necessary.
A Single tiddlywiki file can be accessed from any browser you want (with some conditions and exceptions) however you would now have your own portable firefox and so can always get the same result. The important thing for you to understand is that tiddlywiki and the browsers remain independent of each other. One does not include or incorporate the other. This independent nature is tiddlywikis strength. It is you who may choose to have both portable firefox and your tiddlywiki files on a usb flash drive. regards Tony TonyM If you have not found an easy way to do it with TiddlyWiki, you have missed something. www.tiddlywiki.com On Sun, Mar 28, 2010 at 09:18, Kate <[email protected]> wrote: > Tony, thanks for the reply - quick follow-up: what did you mean by > the "firefox portable version"? > > > Note: I use the firefox portable version to save installing the browser > on > > any given computer. > > I'm envisioning a version of the TiddlyWiki that somehow incorporates > a firefox browser so that you can use it on a computer that doesn't > have firefox...
