Kate, It is not which browser you use now, that influences it's use later;
Tiddlywiki does not have browser related versions however it works better in some than others, and some need the tiddlysaver.jar as per Mike. I use tiddly wiki Between Windows XP/Vista and Win7 and Linux (with Firefox and chrome) I have no problem. If at any given time you want to access your tiddlywiki from another browser you will need to contend with that browsers limitations and with mobile phones with the limitations of that phone. I just tested tiddlyspot - (no save locally) from my iPhone Safari and was able to "Save to web" option. Note: I use the firefox portable version to save installing the browser on any given computer. I Use dropbox.com to carry my tiddlywiki between computers everywhere and it syncs back to dropbox. I can access the file from my iPhone using dropbox but I have not saved or customized it for the iPhone yet. Accessing tiddlywiki on the internet from your phone say through tiddlyspot may require less bandwidth than you think. Good luck keep us posted and I will you TonyM If you have not found an easy way to do it with TiddlyWiki, you have missed something. www.tiddlywiki.com On Sat, Mar 27, 2010 at 13:24, Mike <[email protected]> wrote: > as for local browsers any major browser should work with the same TW > file (without any modifications to the TW), some browsers need > tiddlysaver.jar - in the folder w/ the TW (opera, chrome, safari) > having this file does not affect other browsers - to my knowledge. . . > > Some tweaking may be required for the latest version of opera, look in > recent posts for more info. . .
