Hi Mario, > For me the space is broken atm. I can't open any tiddler. It does a > browser reload, whenever I click a link. Tested with FF and Chrome. >
Yes, sorry. I overlooked a nasty configuration issue with SinglePageHistoryPlugin when introducting the ability to turn single page mode off and so you were left with a non-functioning space for about one to three hours as it essentially kept on trying to reopen the Welcome tiddler. > The SinglePageMode plugin [2] actually can handle the browser buttons. Usually there's not so much a need to debug plugins in a "production environment"... which also means I need to more rigorously test. Other than that, I will sure take a look at Eric's code. I believe I actually saw some setTimeout stuff in there and I guess that's precisely why it was there — to poll changes to the browser's location. However, as I rememver, there was some considerably nagging flickering and jumping and so I discared it altogether, for now. Probably that was due to my premature inability to implement it properly. > I did read TOS and Privacy Statement from disqus a long time ago. Since > then I'm blocking it with "Ghostery firefox plugin" > You can think what you want of such a service. It's not like people are forced to use that or facebook or anything. You could actually say the very same of google groups. You can just skip it altogether. To me, what's important are the capabilities. If the next day they should be gone, too bad. Remember TypeWithMe? Services vanish... others reserve a right to my private pictures. I prefer to weigh the options... interaction vs. ownership. I couldn't care less about the latter. I think, people are much more confused about hitting some reply button (especially when not even registered with TiddlySpace) and then finding a tiddler by that name in their space not knowing if anyone ever notices. So, instead, there's a disqus comment thread, some simple input field to type a reply and hit submit. Everyone knows how to do that instantly. Now that I've actually configured it so that people don't need to be a registered user of sorts, I think it's by far more usable than any current out of the box means TiddlySpace is offering. As for me, those discussions must not be for the "in-crowd" alone. Best wishes, Tobias. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
