Hi John I'd suggest installing TiddlyFox, if you haven't already.

Do the cancel and open buttons still work? > opens in new skin, old standard skin gone. As it says on tiddlywiki.com, TW5 is not fully backwards compatible with TWC. Themes and plugins for TWC don't work in TW5.
