The problem is the tiddlyfox icon/button does not appear in the toolbar for some installs. If you can *see* the button, you're fine. If you can't see it, you can't click it.

I've written out a substantial set of steps regarding the problem and emailed it to Jeremy - hopefully, he'll be able to address this issue in a couple of days or so. The TL;DR is - if you're seeing this issue with Tiddlyfox, you need to go back to the previous version. [1] I have spent (too) many hours trying to figure out the cause, and failed to do so. In brief, I have a system that produces Firefox profiles "at the touch of a button" -- actually, a Tiddlywiki that generates batch files that drive a single instance install of Firefox using multiple profiles, each being used by one single Tiddlywiki document. In total, I have 21 TWs running under this scheme. Of the 21 TWs, 5 are working correctly, 9 are exhibiting this problem. The rest I haven't allowed to update yet/haven't tested. Using the system described above, I can easily test and retest using the older and newer versions of tiddlyfox. Alas, I have not been able to distinguish ANYTHING that exposes the root cause. My other environment details are: Win 7 Firefox 52.0.1 Codacoder [1] The new version of tiddlyfox has a size on disk 51KB. The older version had size 18KB. I do not have a source or link for the older version - perhaps someone can put one up on the web someplace. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
