Since there's a bunch of "upload_" files in the tmp directory, I was able to test:
mv upload_d4764ec4d05eef63b43af05f894554a7 /home/mint/test/mypic.jpg This worked (and it was the test jpg). Do you know if your server is using the equivalent of "mv" ? Or something lower-level?
