A summary of the conversation I had with Fred, Phil and Jeremy about jQuery plugins
i) we think that we probably don't need to do anything to support jQuery plugins - the existing plugin mechanism supports them ii) however this is a good time to re-visit the current plugin mechanism to see if we can improve it in any way. We agreed that any improvements should remain backward compatible with the current mechanism. The only improvement that we could think of (that retained compatibility) was to optionally wrap a plugin in an anonymous function. This option would be controlled by a tiddler slice in the plugin. So I'm still of the view that nothing (other than including the jQuery library) is required for TiddlyWiki to support jQuery plugins. I re- iterate that I am extremely interested in any thoughts to the contrary.
