Thanks for the suggestion, you were quite right, there is a setting to add
a link to the message, now enabled both for [tw] and [twdev].

This topic came up in the hangout this week, prompted by Mat having edited
a post after he'd sent it, and me only seeing the original, uncorrected
email version of the posting. I'm beginning to see that this rather
pernicious problem may lie behind the decision of some groups to
intentionally disable editing of posts (perhaps except by administrators).
