But the concern is that some percentage of the readers will *never see*
your corrections, because they are reading the post via email. It only
becomes a problem if the percentage is high enough, and the corrections are
more than cosmetic but still, it's quite a huge trap for the unwary.

Anyhow I'm not suggesting that we turn off editing at this point, but I'm
interested to watch out for any further unintended consequences.
