Please keep the editing feature. What happened in my thread there (sorry) is not typical and I find it very valuable to be able to correct things - typically minor improvements to the text. In other groups where the nature of the subject is such that people can be held accountable for what they write in a more serious way (maybe even involving money etc) - there I can see how disabling edit is good. But we almost exclusively deal with matter of facts and we're all here voluntarily, so please keep the editing option open.
