thanks for your info.
In the settings of IrfanView I've seen, that I can configure the DPI to load a
PDF with, but there is no setting to load with the original DPI. This I
consider as a bug.
So I will contact Irfan, if he can enhance that.

Btw: I do not see that PDF is a vector image in general. In my understanding
PDF is a container format, holding any kind of formats and encodings.
