The GPL3 was intentionally broken to be incompatible with GPL2. That was
spelled out by the lead lawyer working on it. The GPL2 isn't broken, it is
deficient un two areas but errs on the side of more freedom in both cases.
The first case being the "tivo" drm issue. It allows someone to lock it
down with drm so you can't hack or modify it on their hardware. The second
is that hosted but none download able software does not fit the criteria
for forced disclosure of modified source code. The AFGPL was designed to
fix that issue. Neither of these is an issue for this project so why the
concern or issue with leaving the license as is?
