No, the OP spoke of using Batik, and the other stuff could be supported through builtin mechanisms or Java implementations as well. > So for windows users, in order to make it work > properly, you'll need an installer. Well... even JOSM users (who only need to download ONE SINGLE JAR FILE) are calling for an installer so you're probably right here even if you were wrong above ;-) > Furthermore, as much as I would support writing it in Java, it is doing the > work > twice, especially since Sebastian is really doing a wonderful job in getting > the > perl client working properly. > And honestly, I think you'll get the same Unix<->Windows problems in Java too. My take is, along the lines that I've written recently, I'd rather have *less* [EMAIL PROTECTED] users who tend to know a bit and have some debugging knowledge, than *many* who can do little more than click a button. I don't think we have the support capability ;-) Bye Frederik -- Frederik Ramm ## eMail [EMAIL PROTECTED] ## N49°00'09" E008°23'33" _______________________________________________ Tilesathome mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tilesathome
