I have never had to enter the information again and the unit recovers automatically even after extended power failures that exhausted its UPS. Click Setup -> Self-Survey, Click the "Enable" and "Save" buttons Click "Set Survey", Click "Save Segment", Click "Close" Click Control -> Restart Self-Survey. The "Saved Position" alarm should change to green once the survey process finishes. You do not need to copy anything manually unless you want to specify a more-accurate survey position than what the Thunderbolt arrives at on its own.
