How about this? Use the computer's analog input. One channel gets the AC signal, filtered and sliced. The other channel gets a monostable multivibrator fed by the GPS 1PPS signal. The sampling rate could be quite low compared to audio recording.
The software would implement a frequency counter and phase recorder driven by a multibillion dollar timebase. The computing power to do this would be miniscule compared to the VLF monitoring done by the omen.com server. -- Chuck Forsberg WA7KGX N2469R c...@omen.com www.omen.com Developer of Industrial ZMODEM(Tm) for Embedded Applications Omen Technology Inc "The High Reliability Software" 10255 NW Old Cornelius Pass Portland OR 97231 503-614-0430 _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@febo.com To unsubscribe, go to https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts and follow the instructions there.
