Remember - the original post (and thus the context) is "legally traceable". 
That's (as mentioned in the original post) the land of lawyers rather than the land of 
engineers.

precisely that (e.g. my procedures in doing this are appropriately documented, third party reviewed, various artifacts of the process are maintained, etc.etc.etc.)

The engineering part is straightforward: one might even say "easy", depending on the level of accuracy needed.
