Hi everyone,

I've added something that should help servers on small bandwidth significantly.

If you login to the manage page - http://www.pool.ntp.org/manage - and set the netspeed of your server to something less than 1Mbit the server will be removed from the global pool.

At least while testing I didn't do this retroactively for servers already set with a lower netspeed.

I am still planning to have the DNS system weigh servers with more bandwidth higher, but this should help until then.

A good number of servers have left recently because of the traffic (overloading a small DSL or too high charges for those paying for traffic, for example some DSL users in .au) and I'd rather have them stay and serve fewer users than just leave.

Btw, this is also why I added a graph for "total number of servers" separate from the "global pool" a few days ago:
        http://www.pool.ntp.org/zone/
        http://www.pool.ntp.org/zone/@

 - ask

ps. thanks everyone for the feedback on the recommended servers thing on the zone pages. I am going to write up a "information for vendors" page and add a URL to get a text/plain file with just the server list.
