Upgrading to latest trunk doesn't work when you have dozens of clients on different 'official releases'. Critical fixes need to be backported to 'official releases'. Otherwise it could be quite difficult convincing clients to adopt OpenERP since they won't be able to obtain a bugfix without doing an entire upgrade.
