That is the question, because in one post he states that QC at least guarantees 
painless migration, on the other he states that there is no guarantee at all.

This is the conclusion from the posts, real situation with release practice and 
Tiny's marketing affairs.

It is the way other ERP systems have gone many times before. This is why many 
open source ERP like systems have so many clone/fork systems, because main 
project upon getting stable demand level, starts to become proprietary at least 
partially. Leaving only the core modules available to the general public.
