Hi All,

I have few questions relating to the power management being done in TinyOS
2.x

1. While perusing through the mails on the list it seems that the MCU
(Atmega128L or MSP430) sleeps if there are no tasks in the task queue.
However, my application uses a timer to periodically sense data and storing
it. This means that there is always a timer running. Does the MCU still goes
to any of the low power modes when there is no task in the queue except the
timer is running.

2. What is the energy requirement of the radio in the Low Power Listening
mode on a cc2420 radio? I read this while David Moss was implementing the
LPL scheme:
http://mail.millennium.berkeley.edu/pipermail/tinyos-help/2006-September/019365.html
. Is
it 5.09mAh/day for a 2 sec receive check or lesser?

3. Does the radio draw less current when it wakes up and checks for the
channel being modulated in the LPL state. I guess it should be less than 8
mA which it consumes in the actual Rx mode.

Regards
