I don't invite outside adults in, rather, I run a series of panels with the adults in the class. 3 or 4 students volunteer to be interviewed, and there is a theme: Single life, Parenting, Married life, divorced life.

The success of this exercise depends on how chatty and active the class is. It has been wonderful with engaged students, so-so when the class has had a more passive and quiet disposition.
