Dear Colleagues, I am working on putting together a proposal for a symposium for APA, specifically Div. 2, related to dealing with the impact of incidents of mass violence, large-scale conflict, and terrorism on the classroom. I am getting together some presenters now and if it all works out as planned hope to have individuals address topics such as the impact on students (both short and long-term), the impact on the teacher, and ways to integrate events so that they can serve as a basis for learning and not just despair/distraction.
If anyone has an interest is such a symposium please contact me ASAP - the deadline for proposals is next Monday. Linda -- Linda M.
