Dear Colleagues,

I received the following note from Bill Hill on Psychteacher and wanted
to forward it to you as some of you may not subscribe to that list. I
also want to second his recommendation!

"Many of you who are members of the American Psychological Association
(APA) recently received the nomination ballot for candidates for the
next APA presidential election. I am writing to encourage you to place
Diane F. Halpern's name on your nomination ballot. Diane is nationally
and internationally known for her research on applying learning
principles to teaching and her work on assessment. She is a
past-president of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology, a
recipient of the American Psychological Foundation Teaching Award, and
the Distinguished Career Contributions to Education and Training award.
With the recent elections of Phil Zimbardo and Bob Sternberg as APA
president's we have two very strong education advocates in a row leading
APA. Diane would continue this trend."

Linda
