Dear Friends and Colleagues, APA has put the ballots for president in the mail! When you get yours, please do not simply toss it in the trash. For educators and researchers to have a voice within the Association, it is important to participate in the governance process. Over the past several years, those who particularly value the important of education and research have made a difference through the APA ballot box.
This year we are fortunate to have Diane Halpern on the ballot. Anyone who has attended several of the the teaching of psychology conferences has probably had the opportunity to hear or meet Diane. Most likely you are familiar with her work and writings in the area of critical thinking. A former president of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (as well as other APA divisions, organizations, and committees), she values and supports the academic process and research. Therefore, I encourage you to select Diane Halpern as your first choice on the ballot.
