I graduated with my BS in Psych recently, some I'm close to student hood.
I've asked professors for referral letters, and never had one say no. But
if they had said no, I would have appreciated knowing why they didn't want
to write a letter for me. Especially if it was a misunderstanding or
something that I could change. I think that I would have preferred a short
note from the teacher and being able to talk with the teacher about their
perceptions.
