Your school should have a policy for dealing with students called up for
military service. In my experience students have official paperwork they
submit to the school and you are notified as to the options that are
available.

Subject: URGENT:student military call

Need info as to how some tipsters handle and resolve
grading a student who has informed you that he has
received a call from the military to be on stand by
and be prepared to report in 10 days?
would you try to verify this info?
What grade should that student get? his current grade or
a projected grade? an incomplete?
or should he withdraw from the course without punishment?
