A later thought...in Minnesota you probably have to teach them to be tougher and more self-reliant. (My Thoreau thought for the day.) So make 'em calculate it themselves! Toughens them up!
(Written as our windchill factor here on the coast in New Hampshire is in the minus numbers, and I'm remembering that unbearable windchill factors are an everyday occurence in Minnesota winters)
