I remember completing a similar exercise in a principles of college teaching class.  In fact I think of it every time I write a test so as to make sure that I don't have "give aways" like those on this exam.  Now for my question - am I hurting good testwise students because I make sure to avoid these situations (I won't mention them until Rick posts the answers)?
