ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (PSYCHOLOGY); The Department of Behavioral Sciences & Leadership invites applications for a full-time, 1 year renewable, position beginning in the Summer 2005. The department is an interdisciplinary program with General Psychology, Engineering Psychology, Management, Leadership, and Sociology. The successful candidate must have the strongest commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and be prepared or have a strong desire to teach three or more of our undergraduate courses in Psychology. Candidates for this position will be evaluated according to the following factors: (i) Advanced degree (Ph.D.) in experimental psychology, social psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, engineering psychology, or a related field. (ii) Ability to teach undergraduate courses in our psychology program. (iii) Ability to mentor students, direct them in their individual, application-oriented research projects and support student activities outside the classroom. (iv) Ability to design and assess courses and to work cooperatively with other faculty who teach an integrated curriculum. Applicants should have some college or professional teaching experience and a personal research agenda.
