Most of my classes are too big to learn faces, but I have one that runs about 25 students, and I try to learn everyone's name. In that class I take everyone's picture after the first class, and have a contact sheet made. (This is film technology.) I not only learn their names, but I can look them up when they ask for a letter of reference years later.

Do any of you use facebook to learn more about your students?

I was considering using it next semester to try and more quickly memorize names, yet somehow I feel like I'm invading their privacy.

Any feedback would be appreciated

Thanks
