I used to allow emailed assignments from students in my in-class classes and my on-line classes, but it got to be too much of a hassle. Now I only take emailed assignments from my on-lines, and I grade them on the computer and send them back to them. I also use WebCT, and it keeps track of who sent what and when, so losing assignments doesn't seem to be as much of a problem for me.

My first concern was that it could get "lost" in the mail so why create that potential pitfall. And yes m, having you do the printing & stapling is silly. Just ask for hard copies just like the "olden days."
