I love the video on Youtube and have used many clips. One needs to use a
bit of discretion, but I can see how the kids get hooked on watching
what others have done. Some of the student projects are interesting
too....

A mirror neuron is a neuron which fires both when an animal performs an
action and when the animal observes the same action performed by another
(especially conspecific) animal. Thus, the neuron "mirrors" the behavior
of another animal, as though the observer were itself performing the
action. These neurons have been directly observed in primates, and are
believed to exist in some birds. In humans such neurons have been
detected in Broca`s area, which is homolog to said area and crucial for
language processing. Currently a whole system of mirror neurons is
assumed to exist. Brain activity consistent with mirror neurons has been
found in the premotor cortex and the inferior parietal cortex. Some
scientists consider mirror neurons to be one of the most important
findings of neuroscience in the last decade e.g. potential importance in
imitation and language acquisition.

A great summary of Web 2.0 for my Informatics class

I would also recommend some of the video's available on the TED site
Go to http://TED.com and look under TEDtalks.

The three minute one on success is a great "get 'em back to class after
a break" reward!
