Re watching TV while brushing teeth: A recent report in the Raleigh (NC) News &
Observer noted that at least one builder in the area is now installing one-way
mirrors in bathrooms with a TV mounted behind the window. Controlled with the
remote control, quite literally the intent is to allow the user to see the TV
while simultaneously doing "bathroom things" that involve looking into the
mirror. Unusual, I think, but TV is so incredibly ubiquitous in many households
that those of us who are among the video-challenged have trouble realizing the
extent of the phenomenon.
