This top display is usually a circle divided in half with half being black and the
other side with black arcs is commonly known as Benham's top... Just about any
introductory Sensation & Perception text will have a demonstration box and explanation
of this effect Coren, Ward, & Enns p. 144, Matlin p. 241, Shiffman p. 135. Hope this

Hi topsters,
A student question. A disk that is black and white is spinning.
Depending on the speed, the disk will take on different colors such as
blue, red, and green?
