>From the official TIPS irony detector:
I was dying to be educated, so I spent the entire morning trying
to find out what "Quialisms" are. Did you mean "Quailisms"? If so,
how is GW like a quail?

Here's another good idea for classroom discussion:
How often were "subliminal" and "subliminable" mentioned on
the news in the last week?

How often was the Caney Fork River mentioned?
This story was on the local (Nashville) news last night:
http://www.newschannel5.com/news/0009/13/gore_mine.html

A search on CNN's entire website reveals 2 matches for Caney Fork.
One is an excerpt from "The Prince of Tennessee: The Rise
of Al Gore": "[Al Gore, Sr.died] in his own bed in the big
house on the hill above the cold Caney Fork River"
and
"he often 'ran the river' with Allen Gore, floating logs down the Caney
Fork.

The other is an article from Time Magazine about the women
who made Al Gore: "Just over the Caney Fork River waited a kitchen
with the smell of baked bread..."

At least 3 articles on CNN in the last two days about "subliminal" ads
and/or their mispronunciation.

ABCnews.com
0 hits for "caney fork"
About 20 hits for "subliminal" over the last couple of days

CBSnews.com
I can't find a search engine, but see no mention of anything
related to Caney Fork. I do see a lead article entitled "Dubya's
Down But Not Out"

By the way, did you hear that Gore was on Oprah? Now there's _real_
news!!
