I guess that my students will embrace my aunt Camille's philosophy. She 
never balanced her checkbook. She claimed the bank would tell her if she was 
out of money, so why bother. Of course, she was 76, from Italy, and also 
thought God would screw you if you changed the channel while the Pope was on 
TV. She also expected it to rain at precisely 3 PM on Good Friday, New York 
time, forget the holy land, time zones, etc.
