Not exactly personality, but it might be fun to do some data collection to determine the age of earliest autobiographical memory. Given the range of countries you will visit, this might be a good opportunity to look at cultural differences. There is a literature on the cultural/personality explanations for differences in the earliest memories (as early as 3 or 4 years in Western cultures with strong emphasis on the individual and as late as 8 or 9 years in Eastern cultures that have a more collectivist focus). This could also be connected with child rearing practices and the manner in which parents interact with their children. (There is a small literature on this aspect of early parent/child interactions, the nature of conversational narratives about the past, and the onset of autobiographical memory.)
