I would highly recommend the recent book by Marilyn Hedge, Suffer the Children, a family therapist who has extensive experience illustrating how working with family dynamics is very effective at helping children with behavioral disorders and that labeling and prescribing drugs is not. It's a very persuasive, disturbing and, in the end, inspiring book. I have provided you with an introduction by the author.
