I should have been a bit more specific about the video freezes. The same image stays on the screen; if it disappears, it¹s replaced by a blank screen; the video doesn¹t return, whether from a recording or from live TV. Sound continues for a while after video freezes.
The ³setup videos² I mentioned are the promotional sorts of things that play when one powers up a new TiVo HD for the first time. Every time this freeze-up has happened and I¹ve solved it by unplugging the box for a minute or so, then reattaching it to a/c power, the introductory setup stuff has replayed automatically. Megazone, for some reason I¹m not able to select and copy text from your html mail when I compose replies. The text highlights but won¹t stay highlighted for me to copy it.
