Right.  It's easier though to use qmail's -default notation (see
dot-qmail(5)) so you don't have to make a link for every address.

It's more or less the same thing.  I just prefer using
.qmail-foo-default because it saves me from having to generate an
address each time.  i.e, I know jason-foo-bar will "just work".

The HMAC prevents people from forging a tagged address.  It verifies
that it was you who created it.  The `CRYPTO' file in the TMDA tarball
has more details.
