Sorry. I misread your question and thought you meant SMTP-after-POP3 
authentication. Must proofread before posting. Must proofread before 
posting.

Anyway, Courier IMAP can solve your IMAP problem. (Proof: I'm using 
webmail with Courier IMAP to send this message.)
